  1. Hi Wolf

What a great community and thanks for the welcome. You will be pleased to know that we do have German, Spanish and Americans involved in the project. David Valle from Spain has designed prototype 2 and Diego Miralles designed prototype 1. We are sourcing the wheels but hope to manufacture everything else in house. Yuneec International is an amazing company, founded by Tian Yu who pioneered electric RC aircraft developments some 15 years ago. Every Horizon Hobby airplane you see is made by Flying Tian. With this factory employing hundreds of people and good cash flow, he decided to build a brand new factory on the outskirts of Shanghai where he could manufacture engines and the e430 electric airplane. As an incredible engineer, entrepreneur, pioneer and just a damn good bloke he pays real attention to detail. A friend of mine said to him Mr. Yu, what you are doing with Electric Aviation is truly unique! That is how the name YUneec came about. The engines that have strong patents are also unique and they are building plenty of different power output versions. As small as a finger nail and as large as a big barrel of beer! In the future, we shall be exploring other areas to utilise the engine and battery technology - e.g. electric outboard engines for dinghies and drones (http://www.e-drones.com). However, right now the focus is to make the world's best electric skateboards with a range to choose from. The wireless controller is also being developed in house and we have an iOS and MFi agreement with Apple so expect some sexy apps for smartphones as well - an iPhone instrument panel for the e-boards? 2. I think e-Boards.com is the company to watch. Boosted Boards will not have a product ready until at least June 2013 and they are sourcing parts from here, there and everywhere. At over $1200 it is also very expensive. We expect they will have problems with battery capacity and as a startup they will encounter many more problems with technology.

Yuneec International (http://www.yuneec.com), who are the parent of Flying Tian (http://www.flyingtian.com) a company manufacturers over 1,300,000 RC aircraft each year and is using its new factory to manufacture a complete range of patented brushless electric motors. These motors are used in its 180 different models of RC aircraft, ePac Paramotor, eSpyder Ultralight and e430 Sports Light Aircraft. The same technology is now being applied to electric skateboards and http://www.e-boards.com is the site. We expect our price to be much cheaper than any comparable board with better performance. 3. E-boards (http://www.e-boards.com) are one of many products being developed by Yuneec International (http://www.yuneec.com). We are a young, progressive, forward thinking company developing state of the art products in the personal transport and leisure sectors, especially those utilizing environmentally friendly power systems such as electric motors and batteries.

Operating from our expansive new, hi-tech research and manufacturing facility just outside Shanghai, Yuneec uses its extensive knowledge in micro electronics, electic motor and charger production to maximize the performance and efficiency of its products in these new market sectors so as to make them commercially viable to a wide consumer audience.

With extensive experience in airborne products, Yuneec’s young and highly talented development engineers have already developed the Epac ‘electric’ paramotor system, ESpyder, EViva and E430 light aircraft. When our e-Boards come to market in May 2013 we expect to make a major impact in the electric skateboard market.
