  1. Good-day, The Speed Controller is a 1204B Curtis, New these cost alot,I like how strong they are plus Curtis controllers are not resister based as yours is, I am still using the same battery pack for the last 7 years.

I use "hand" controls because I have Front Disk Brakes, which are activated by a "Bicycle" brake cable and the Twist Throttle set up is just like using an outboard motor on a Skiff/Boat.

Regarding price: If I was to use a resister controller I could sell my designs for $900.00 US Dollars; Since I experienced a "Runaway" I decline to use "less" than the best components.

You can reach me at scottwatson42@comcast.net this is also a good way to find my profile on facebook.

I have posted pictures on facebook of the damage done in my first crash in 8 Years, "kids" threw a bottle from a moving car, glad I wear a half shell motorcycle helmet; Even so lost control and crashed into a curb at full speed, The Base plate ripped out of 1 inch Marine grade plywood, even so I was able to walk the Board home like a dog on a leash, the Kids where arrested for Felony Vehicular Assault and the car was impounded, A police officer saw the event.

As for the Pictures of other designs: They are currently unavailable.

My board has twice the power of your 600 and I really Like the Locked Posi-Traction, the only time I lose traction is when TOO MUCH power is applied while going up steep hills this is why I have "Wheelie Bars": Prevents the front from coming off the ground at Full Throttle.

Have a great day, Respectfully Scott Watson.

  2. :):):)

    Are you serious?

I need to be in there :D

You said you are a great develovper?

Well, then please put togehter a signature Board for me - should have the size and shape of a normal skateboard, and even the wight..

I want an electic skateboard, light enough to rinse out ollies!

    Is that possible?

    cheers

Already being planned,No I am not great, just been making my own board for me and my friends for 15 years, after awhile anyone gets good at something if you do it over and over again.

Regarding your board do you want it to charge off 110ac or 220ac, I think you want a "fun" board, for a skatepark or pro half pipe? the design has GOODYEAR racing slicks, regular skateboard wheels turn into FLAMMING Marshmellows, the urethane compond will burst into flames and pass your ass, bouncing down the road, with my design smokin burn outs are possible, you will be able to lay rubber down for 8 to 10 feet, this is why I like posi-traction.

but for your board sounds like you want "tricks", cando suggest you have some spare wheels handy, keep cruisen.

    Scotty.

  3. Any other Elektro-Skate boarders out there ?

    Andy

I prefer to build my Electric Skateboards from the ground up, currently using a monster speed controller, to provide the energy to the 2 horsepower electric motor, lots and lots of hills here in Seattle, so the extra power is needed. is there riders in seattle? 9 years of riding and I have yet to see another Electric Skateboard rider, all my friends ride the boards I design for them, we have fun doing GP racing.

  4.

    Hi Guys,

How was your weekend, get much boarding mileage covered ?

    Best

    Andy

Scotty, I usualy ride 8 to 10 miles per day, sometimes longer in the sunshine, bit cold and cloudy today so I cleaned my board, greased the bearings and switched the wheels front to back, measured the wheels the drive wheels are 1mm smaller in DIA. next rotation June-2010, pulled a big nail out of the front right wheel, glad the design uses solid tires, is anyone else picking up alot of glass in their tires?

  5. It would also have to be a really powerful board because I would like to pick up at least a half dozen of them. It might have to be pretty big because I could only carry a couple on my shoulders. Maybe you can talk to Andrew about working on the development of one. I'm thinking all you guys need to come out and we can do some in depth research:D

    Scotty,

If you extend the deck then you could have a bikini babe stand in front of you while riding down the road, the deck would have to be realy thick. I have a crazy design 22,500 WATT Twin motor design, with 11 inch tall skateboard wheels, does 35 easy, nice bench seat across the back, the babes laugh there ass off while riding down the street, this is a true monster.

  6. Hi Andy,

Yeah, if you can keep up on the remote situation that would be great. Looks like it's going to be a beautiful weekend. I'll be churning it up Saturday and Sunday. Probably be giving out Andrews infomation to a bunch of people, I'm sure everyone will stop me, they always do.

All of you guys have a good weekend and stay safe (of course that takes some of the fun out of it)

    Scotty/4thhorseman

Lookin for people to race in GP style course, do you know of any electric skateboard riders in Seattle,Wash. Area, I designed my 1,500Watt Posi-traction Electric Skateboard so it would be 3 times more powerfull than any retail design, lookin to blow a few doors off, I want to develop a local racing group for the X-GAMES.

  7. what? "... to design my own electric Skateboard for the X-GAMES Electric Skateboard GRAND PRIX."

You just developed the board for personal use??

uhm and I never heard about an x-games esb gp can you provide us with further info? :gossip:

The X-GAMES is putting together a GRAND PRIX Style race course the event is being devloped, design a course of your own, over ramps, "S" turns, a large parking lot with a race course that has interesting shape is fun to race in, I hope you have raced before, suggest helmets, the racing pack gets tight in the corners with everyone trying to take the same line, assign judges to award points for being lap leader, "stunt" short cuts earn you extra points, delibrate collisions subtract from your points do you get the Idea?

OUTLAW racing, in my case with Posi-traction I pass my friends on the outside in the "marbles"-gravel/loose sand, power slides are fun!

I have racing slicks which are made from goodyear rubber, just rotated my wheels, burned off 2 mm off the drive tires, yes the brake system and drive system use the same wheels.

Yes I designed my own electric skateboard from the ground-up, I chose the Wheels, bearings, axles, designed my own trucks, IE;Hanger and Base Plate, wooden deck, thin marine plywood and glue, plus lots and lots of clamps, designed and built my own motor mounts.

all (30) designs are Heavy Duty, tell me what you would like in a electric skateboard, I might have it in inventory already, I am a good toy maker.

  8. Hey Scotty,

I replied to this post before I saw your other post in the "others" section. Checked out the You Tube video. That thing is "sick"! Do you have any close up pictures, looks like you put a lot of technology into it. Where are you located, I'm in California.

    Patrick

    Goodday,

Patrick, yes I incorperated the best of the best technology, seattle washington has lots of hills, and only a little bit of "cruise streets" around alki, you can email me at scottwatson42@comcast.net.

close up pictures are not available, my "ride" is armored- if a car drives over it they can kiss their oil pan GOODBYE, the set-up is for long distance, the dual battery pack is to keep the front on the GROUND, I installed wheelie "Bars" for a reason.

I have 3 different gear ratios that can be installed, have fun cruising

  9. That 'break button' is hell - i just call it: ejection seat.

I pulled it one time while driving decent and holy %$3* i almost died :D

Bruises on every sura for about two weeks.. really that was not funny at all ;)

    Good Day,

Scotty here, I conducted an inventory of the command files, on a number of wireless systems, it appears the numrical values can be adjusted, for example I read a post in which "a wild ride"-event took place in another, stopping was immediate, suspect a programing glitch in the transmitter or the reciever.

My expertise is 1,500 Watt Posi-traction electric skateboards, this means (2) horse power, if you want to see the long distance version go to utube/frickandfracksicem.

I designed my own electric skateboard, 49 hours later at $55.00 us dollars you get the idea, just wanted the best design possible to avoid the "OH SHIT" I am not going to stop or FREE FLYING lessons at realy realy low altitude.

  10. Hi,

That sounds like a mean machine!!!

    What is the weight ?

Please let us know more, any images ?

    Best

    Andy

Hi andy, Specs/SITREP, weight 45 pounds, 26 Amp Hour Batteries, 24 volt System, 4.25 inch goodyear compound "slicks" wheels, HELLA Fog light for night riding-24volt halogen bulb, posi-traction, 1 hour 30 minutes to recharge, range 25 miles 3 different gear ratios to choose from HILL-15MPH, CRUISE 25MPH, SPEED 40 MPH. go to utube-frickandfracksicem to watch video, of the 1,500 watt skateboard and the 22,500 watt skateboard.

electric skateboard designed by scott/me, machinest-heavy machine operator excavator 600,which weighs 1,000,000 pounds. looked at what was out there and decided to design my own electric Skateboard for the X-GAMES Electric Skateboard GGRAND PRIXX.

  11. Scotty here, try breaking in the board as is, then after a bit adjust as you feel is safe, my 1,500 WATT Posi-traction electric skateboard developed wobbles at speed,"power" boards, act different than gravity boards.

    just a thought.

  12. Scottwatson42@comcast.net

Designed a 1,500 WATT Electric Skateboard with Posi-Traction,Dual Front Disk brakes, (2) 24 volt dc battery packs at 26 Amp Hours per pack, Range in the hills 25 miles, Recharges in 1 Hour 30 minutes at 8 amps constant, Speed is dependent upon which gear ratio you install, IE; Hill-15mph Cruise-25 Mph Speed-35-45 miles per hour on 4.25 wheels with Alum hubs.

The speed control sends 75 amps to the motor per hour.

Do You Like the idea of posi-traction?
