  1. This is a follow up to my last email.

Andrew has been reaching out to me and has been a lot of help getting my board working.

I ended up buying a 900watt motor from a friend and I was going link it up with the 900w control box I bought from ES in October. The control box did not work.

I reach out to Andrew and after a few emails, we figure its the "new" control box and he lets me know that a new one will be mailed out to me.

I still have not gotten a refund for the motor I order.

I hope they do sent the new control box.

Its good to have my board running right now. I forgot how fast these boards are.

  2. I was very excited to order my board. I bought an ES-600 on sept 8th (my bday) in 2010.

The board came and it was awesome. So freaking fast that the first time using it is scary as hell.

I ran into a few problems where my board would not turn on and reached out to the owner Andrew and he talked me through the fix. Very good customer service.

    Until November 2013

I decided id like to upgrade my 600 to a 900w motor. They now had pieces that were compatible and I was excited. When I expressed interest to Andrew, he gave me the email of another buyer who just did the same thing and said it was cool for me to contact him.

Cool, so I reach out to the dude and this is what he told me....

    --

No I didn't upgrade the board, I couldn't because the board has never run long enough to upgrade, the control board has now went out 5 times, the last 2 times it burned out the same day I replaced it!

I also ordered a new remote control a white color one (because the one they sent me was black and has been mistaken as a gun a few times and so is dangerous), I ordered this part 2 months ago and it still hasn't arrived.

    --

    Then I get another email

    --

Mike - originally I had planned to upgrade the battery to a larger capacity 20 amp, however I never got to that point because of the unreliability of the control board, the board is a blast to ride but it's un reliable.

Honestly, the upgrades that I've been looking at are not really upgrades, I've been searching for a different control board that is reliable because the control boards from Elektroskate are obviously not working, so I've been searching for something to replace that with, the board not been working for 5 months, 5 months ago I got the 5th new control board from Electroskate, installed it and that same day it burned out and left me stranded 10 miles from home, the board has been out of commission since that time.

    --

    Aww that sucks.

I wish there was a faster board on the market.

    (I wrote that)

    --

Ok so we go back and forth and he recommends me another board.

Like an ass, I did not head his warning and I go ahead and order a new 900w control board and a 900w motor.

I order them in November and still to this day I have not received the motor.

I have reached out to Andrew a few times and this is what I get.

    -

Ok I'm pissed now. I write

    Dude are you serious?

The motor isn’t in route to me?

    I ordered this last year.

    -

    Hi Mike,

Sorry the company is loosing money every week, the lead time with suppliers is long and they are very unreliable sometimes we received your motor but it was the wrong wattage. We will be continuing the E board business but only on a small scale to supply parts etc into the future. We appreciated your business and support.

    Hi Mike,

Sorry for the delay in answering I Will send you the motor details next week.

    best

    Mark

    -

    What does that mean?

So it hasn't been shipped yet? In 6 months?

Andrew, please explain to me whats going on. The control box you sent me is useless without the motor.

    -m

    -

    So I write....

It would be awesome if you sent me a new board.

It would show me that you put the people that support your product first. I have an email I received where the guy expressed that I shouldn't spend anymore money with you. He showed examples of his difficulties in dealing with you and I decided to support you anyway.

I also run a small business and understand the importance of customer relations and how to treat the people that support your product.

Please show me we are on the same page so I can continue to support your wonderful product.

    -Mike

    -

    Hi Mike,

No its not dispatched yet we are chasing the supplier next week, I am sorry we cannot offer you free board! we appreciate your business but please understand We are continuing the business to support customers but E boards are a small market and we operate the business as a side venture, there are many brands on the market and we continue to supply boards on a very small scale to this knish market so do not have regular parts in stock all the time sometimes we do but depends on the item. We make very little margin on each board and have to support with warranty and often make a loss. At the moment ES boards is running at a loss but we are keeping it going to support parts and customers and because we ride ourselves as a hobby. Boards are manufactured to order and shipping to the states costs us $400 alone + the price of the board as large LI batteries now have to be shipped on a special service.

This is customer service at its worst right here.

    2 months later

    June 3rd I write this

Still no motor. Please refund my money.

I am no longer interested in doing business with your company.

    -mike

    -

    best regards

    Mark

Anyone who decides to spend money on an Elecktroskateboard now will get shitted on.

Im sure, it'll take another 6 months to refund my money to.

    my 2 cents

  3. Words cant express how much fun I had today.

First off, im glad im a skateboarder because the board is much faster than I ever imagined. It took awhile to work up the courage to go all out. But when I did, I felt complete freedom. Nothing like passin people on bikes pushing hard lol.

About halfway through the battery fell out. (dont think it was fully secure). But I just braked and fastened it in place and it was good as new.

In my neighborhood (downtown jersey city nj) theres a number of skateboarders and a make shift skateboard park a few blocks from my apt. They were all gaga over it. Most of em have never seen an eboard before and it was fun watchin em try to keep up with me. I spent the day, cruising my nieghborhood and getting use to accelerating full blast.

    I had an incredible time

    Mike Rush

Tomorrow, I take it to manhattan.

    :)

Will post pics and video soon.

(thanks to patrick who gave me a crash course in my board. Met him on this site and he's been incredible in helping me sort out issues.)

  4. My wife took the board out the bag to charge for me. I dont see it. Whats my options. Can I pick one up at a store or do I have to order it from elektro skate. This sucks cause I so want to ride my board lol.

    What a test in patience....

  5. Evening, need an explanation of this.

(back and forth email from elektroskate)

    -------------------------------------------------

Hi, The battery fuse will not be in the side of the battery. Its in the charging box and there is a black cover for it. You have to insert it into the side of the battery when you are ready to ride.

    Hi mike,

You should leave it overnight. Always remove the battery

fuse while charging and if you are out riding and you run the

battery dead pull out the battery fuse straight away.

    Thanks

Question, received my board. Looks awesome and will test it this

    evening.

How long should the first charge be.

My question is..... Whats the charging box and where do I find the battery fuse.

  6. Thanks, I read all 13 pages of that and it was very pro es-600. No one offered any input on the boom boarda. The es-600 is over $100 more and I want to make sure it's worth it.

The dialog in that spread was mostly dude excitement of getting an electric skateboard.

    Stuff I'm looking for is...

    1. What's better for boarding in a busy city

    2. Do they really do 25mph

    3. I weigh 200 pounds, should that factor into what I'm getting.

    4. There not much hills in the city, is one board better on level ground?

    5. Does anyone on this site have both boards?

    6. Which board accelerates the fastest.

    7. What has the best range.

Thanks so much to the community in advance. I'm so glad I found this forum.
