  1. I’m happy to announce that through self-funding and generous terms from our suppliers we have been able to produce our first large batch of LaGrange L1 DIY kits. They are for sale now through •••• and Amazon and they are looking great! (see the links on our website). Also, check out our new website which has lots of resources and tips for building an electric skateboard using the LaGrange L1 truck. Please spread the word by telling a friend and feel free to contact me personally if you have any questions or if you are interested in being one of our board building partners.

    Thanks for your support!

  2. Introducing the LaGrange L1: Our universal motorized skateboard truck. Add it to ANY deck, wheels, etc to make the electric longboard YOU want!

The LaGrange L1 uses standard hobby parts such as an outrunner motor and a Castle Creations ESC. It is completely programmable and is offered as a kit or RTR.

Love it? Hate it? let me know what you think.

  3. Ive been building electric skateboards with my buddy for a few years now. Our designs are radically different from each other; so whatever your interest is I may be able to help. His board is based on an MBS mountain board with dual brushless rc motors and all rc electronics. My boards have been built around freestyle longboards with beaver-tail style wheel cutouts (think arbor axis or bustin maestro). I design them for cruising and commuting. mine currently use single 500w dc brushed motors with a chain drive. My truck/motor mount is a modified skate truck which can be based off practically any truck. My setup uses a tethered (wired) controller. Batteries and speed control are held in a backpack and wired to the front of the board. This keeps a lot of weight off of the board itself. One thing I didn't like about the current boards available is how heavy they are; the weight really takes a lot of the "skateboard feel" out of riding. My board has a classic and agile ride and is stealth while cruising. I'll post some pics when I get a chance.
