  1. Hi there Chris, my names jacob, I'm trying to get my hands on some drive hubs for the Abec 11 fly wheels I'm making an electric longboard for my electronics course at school and I'm stuck on this I don't want to drill into my current wheels, I love my Abec 11's free rides for down hill and sliding so want to use some Abec 11's for my electric longboard.<br />

Could you help me out with a link or a way to get my hands on some hubs:) thanks heaps my email is jacob.bloy@gmail.com and I live in Australia.

  3. People have a variety of wheels to use on electric boards and that's fine. What I am objecting to is people who advertise that the wheels that they put on their electric skateboards are Abec 11's, when in fact they are not. Here are some examples: http://www.elektro-skateboard.de/forum/bilder/es+abec+11+flywheels-85/ http://fastestelectricskateboard.co.uk/shop/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=31 http://fastestelectricskateboard.co.uk/shop/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=25 In my attached picture you can clearly see the difference between the molded in drive hub on the red eXkate wheel and the removable drive hub that fits into the spokes of the Abec 11 Fywheels. This system allows the rider to rotate the tires for uniform wear. Abec 11 does NOT make any wheels with a molded in drive hub. If you buy a board from someone claiming that you're getting genuine Abec 11 wheels and you are not, you are being cheated.
  4. I am the owner and designer of Abec 11 wheels, including every Flywheel and Electric Flywheel that has ever existed. We do NOT make Flywheels in 94mm or 112mm, and we do NOT make wheels in purple or black. We do NOT make any wheels without printing and branding on them. Our regular Flywheel series has 76mm, 83mm, 90mm, and 97mm sizes. All of those wheels are centerset, have 45mm orange 6-spoke hubs, and green Classic Formula urethane on them. Our 107mm Electric Flywheels use the same hubs only in black, with Green 74a, Pink 77a, and Lime 80a Reflex Formula urethane. All of our wheels are clearly marked as Abec 11. None of wheels have the drive hub permanently attached to the wheels. We make the best and highest quality skateboard wheels on the planet, and I've worked with Altered Electric Skateboards exclusively in making a 107mm Electric Flywheel and drive hub. They are simply the best that money can buy. We pour ALL of our wheels in my hometown of Huntington Beach California and no one but me has the right or license to use the Abec 11 name, period. Anyone who does is a liar, a fraud, and a cheat, or the most ignorant person to ever sell a skateboard. It is upsetting, to say the least, that people will try to take advantage of all of the time, money, R&D, tooling, testing, marketing, and branding that I've done in the last 12 years in order to line their pockets. I hope that the community here will take notice and do the right thing by NOT supporting the ripoffs. Thank you for your time. Sincerely, Chris Chaput President, Abec 11
